Meilogu: ‘Middle Earth’. A land of ancient history, dotted with nuraghes and prehistoric architecture. Known throughout northern Sardinia for its fertile fields and unique landscape, where gentle hills follow the silhouettes of ancient extinct volcanoes. If you come to visit us, two of them, more than any other, you will recognize from afar: Monte Santu and Monte Pelao. They are the ones that guard the valley, and it is within their embrace that Bonnanaro’s renowned cherry orchards are kept.
Why do we call it ‘Middle Earth’? We don’t know for sure. Perhaps because it lies at the heart of Logudoro, or perhaps because, to our eyes, it almost resembles the fairytale lands born from Tolkien’s pen. The precise reason ultimately matters little. What we know is that we have cultivated this land with respect for over a century, and that every season tells us its story…

The skin on our hands naturally became softer and silkier. From there came the idea of having the fruit analyzed and making it the protagonist of a cosmetic line created exclusively with extract from the Bonnanaro Cherry, a precious and to-be-preserved local cultivar, particularly fragile yet rich in polyphenols. Combining agricultural tradition and innovation, after years of research and dedication, we succeeded in developing Kariasa.
